Topps is continuing its shift into the signed memorabilia market, reaching an exclusive autographed memorabilia deal with Luis Severino. The Yankees pitcher will have a variety of signed items available through the growing Topps Authentics program.
Severino joins Carlos Correa as Topps Authentics exclusives. In his first 11 MLB starts, the young starter went 5-3 with a solid 2.89 ERA. By the time the 2016 season begins, Severino will be just 22-years old.
Among the items collectors can expect are signed baseballs, jerseys and over-sized cards.
This deal only covers signed memorabilia, though. For those focused exclusively on cards, Severino should still be able to sign for other companies.
“I’m very excited to start this new venture with Topps,” said Severino in a press release. “I have been working with them since my first year in the minors and their products are always exciting and top of the line.”
“We are excited to have a player of Luis’ caliber join the Topps Authentics program,” said Topps’ David Leiner. “He’s a great, young player with a high ceiling. He’s the type of player – on and off the field – that we love to work with.”
