Punching in “Lord Stanley” in the Beckett database reveals just 41 cards with his name on it.

By the end of the year, there should at least one more. In The Game will release Superlative Hockey 3 in November in time for the Fall Expo with a cut autograph of Lord Stanley of Preston.

It will be the 10th cut auto to hit the market since 2001-02 SP Game Used.

However, the cut autograph is just one of the highlights in Superlative Hockey 3, which has been two years in the making.

The last time ITG released a Superlative brand was in 2010.

Much like its previous releases, ITG has limited the product. This time to just 1,500 books.

Some of the other cards that can be found in Superlative Hockey include Skate Lace, where ITG has pulled the laces out of vintage hockey skates to put on card, PaperCut and AutoThread, autograph subsets, and Superlative Tag and Superlative Emblem where the patch takes up the entire space of the card.

A checklist or price point has not been released yet for this product, but this is one of ITG’s high-end features on its calendar.

I’m a huge fan of the Superlative Series, even though it will be a high end product. I opened Superlative II, and both my wife and I had a lot of fun opening these boxes.

This stuff is going to be high on the crapometer, much like the past 2 releases.

Lord Stanley’s autograph would be pretty incredible to own, but I really like the look of those skate laces! Realistically, though, this product is way out of my price range. Thanks for the photos, though.

    Dare to dream.
