Autry saved a man from dying in a New York City subway two years ago — and nearly died in the process — and is one of 25 subjects in the forthcoming Topps American Heritage American Heroes Edition trading card set. This latest Heritage set arrives in mid-August. (Read more about it here.)
Sure, there will be more than a few names that the typical sports collector 0r card geek might not know — but that doesn’t mean they don’t have an interesting story.
And that, no matter who it is, also makes for interesting cardboard.
