First look: 2013 Contenders Football
By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Football Editor
Contenders is a collecting favorite every year. The Rookie Cards are usually a must-have for many football fans.
Panini America offered a peek as to what 2013 Contenders Football will look like this year.
The Rookie Ticket features a similar design to last year’s cards, which re-visited the original rookie tickets from 1998. This year’s design is vertical with the ticket and the player taking up about two-thirds of the design. The extra space on the right is for an autograph.
Contenders, which comes out in December, will have five autographs in a 24-pack hobby box.
The 40 players at the NFL Players Association Rookie Premiere will have on-card autographs. The Rookie Tickets will feature a number of parallels including Playoff Tickets, Cracked Ice Tickets, Championship Tickets and Printing Plate Tickets.
Other autograph subsets include Rookie Ink and NFL Ink with some of the top players signing.
The inserts will feature Rookie of the Year Contenders, Round Numbers and MVP Contenders. They will also have autographed versions numbered to 25 or less.
Panini also included 14K gold Golden Tickets as well.

not feeling the design this year, looks cheap. Are they going to make distributor only jumbo so they get rid of all the other products they are going to make this year as well? How about Flawless football????
