Topps unveiled its newest WWE trading card line on Tuesday, 2011 WWE Classics, a line that will be an all-foil series including an insert set dedicated solely to the forthcoming WrestleMania clash between John Cena and The Rock.

Scheduled to arrive in mid-December, Classics will consist of 90 base cards of Superstars, Legends and Divas, each found with gold parallels. The base set’s design is one that was tested in Topps’ 2011 Target baseball value boxes as Chrome bonus cards.

Here, we’ve traded The Mick for The Miz and gone with foilboard.

Some of the highlights from the base set’s checklist include card No. 1 being the debut for newcomer A.J., while, interestingly, also on the checklist is Eden Stiles, who has yet to make her TV debut on either Smackdown or Raw, and even a card for Batista.

There will be a 10-card Cena-Rock insert set, meanwhile the autograph and Relic checklists — 16 cards for each — are all TBDs at this time. There will be 24 packs per box and eight boxes per case when Classics arrives in hobby shops.

I’d heard the name for this set a while back and was hoping the “Classics” bit would mean an all-legends set. Looks nice, but still wish for a different kind of checklist.

WWE Superstars? What channel does that come on Now?

Theres GOOD Wrestling comes on every Thursday on Spike tv. Called TNA.

Please Greg. TNA is absolute garbage. Do they have some good talent? Yes. Do they use their good talent properly? No they don’t. Instead Hogan and Bischoff place old guys with little to nothing left in the spotlight and the guys who actually have youth and talent get put on the back burner. The booking in that company is ATROCIOUS. Fire Vince Russo and everyone else in creative. Hogan, Bischoff, Steiner, Jarrett, Sting, Flair,…all need to step aside and let the real talent there shine, but it will NEVER happen. To have Ric Flair still wrestling is a joke. To have Sting at damn near 50 jumping around like a Joker/Doink the Clown hybrid is a bigger one.

    superstars is an internet exclusive.

TNA is a mix of some good wrestling, poor production, extremely washed up wrestlers, the hardy boys (ugh), and a terrible card and autograph product thanks to tristar.

I can’t believe Eden is getting a card all she does it announce on superstars and sometimes smackdown and Lita is still not included in the Legends cards.

Very disappointed! I’ve bought every type of wrestling card for my son and have never seen so many doubles and triples of the same cards . I’m really thinking about not buying anymore .
