Josh Gordon Cards Debut in 2012 Absolute Football
Panini America will be releasing a number of football products in the coming month. It starts with 2012 Absolute – and the card shown above.
Cleveland Browns rookie Josh Gordon made his NFL trading card debut in Absolute.
Gordon, taken in the second round of the supplemental draft, has had a good run as of late. The wide receiver has averaged close to 80 yards a game, including 116-yard performance against Oakland in Week 13. He has 732 receiving yards and five touchdowns this season.
While many people want to talk about the top-level 2012 rookies, there are going to be players who naturally progress. Gordon is prime candidate, and with a solid quarterback could become a top receiver in the league.
Gordon leads the Browns by nearly 300 receiving yards, a favorite for QB Brandon Weeden.
The former Baylor University receiver knows something about good QBs too. During his sophomore year at Baylor in 2010, he caught 42 passes for 714 yards and seven touchdowns from current Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.
Gordon had a tumultuous college career before transferring to Utah in 2011, dealing with off-the-field issues.
