First Look: 2015 Panini Prizm baseball cards
By Chris Olds | Beckett Baseball Editor
A new year of Prizm is coming — and it’s bringing more color and variety than ever before.
Panini America formally unveiled its 2015 Panini Prizm baseball card set on Tuesday, a brand that’s been inked hot and heavy the last few weeks as part of the Panini America Spring Training Road Trip, a multi-day, multi-state tour to collect autographs from some of the biggest names in the game.
New as part of the Prizm rainbow this year are Tie-dye cards and Pink-ribbon Prizms to be found when the brand arrives on May 13.
Each 12-pack box will pack two autographs and nine parallels — three of those serial-numbered — while inserts will include Diamond Marshals, Field Pass, Fresh Faces, Fireworks, Passion and an assortment of USA Baseball cards, too.
The parallel rainbow will include Camo (/199), Black and White Checker (/149), Red Power (/125), Purple Flash (/99) and the aforementioned Tie-dye (/50) as well as the return of the No. 42 Prizms first found last year, a tribute to MLB’s universally retired number and Jackie Robinson.
Among the signers for this one will be Rusney Castillo, Brandon Finnegan, Javier Baez, Jorge Soler, Dalton Pompey, Luis Severino, Kris Bryant, Byron Buxton, Carlos Rodon and Yasmany Tomas to name a few. All of those players were booked to sign during the Road Trip, though some did not make it because of other commitments.
Veteran and retired signers for the Signature Distinctions set will include Jose Abreu, Freddie Freeman, Paul Goldschmidt, David Wright, Nolan Ryan, Edgar Martinez, Jay Buhner, David Justice and Jose Canseco to name a few.

Sparkling looking cards…..with no MLB logos!
Shouldn’t that = lower cost to us, the consumer ????????????????????
David I agree, no matter how nice looking they make the MLB cards I will not buy them until they get logos and team names.
We know, “no MLB logo’s” get over it already
I really like the prizm product for Basketball, but haven’t tried baseball yet. These cards look great and I think I am going to give it a go. I wonder if they will do jumbos though?
I’d buy singles for my player collection, maybe some of the USA singles if they include current USA Team members and not just alumni, otherwise, I’m not seeing anything that would motivate me to part company with my money.
This was a fantastic product in 2015!
