Stadium Club returns Wednesday after six years on the bench with a new array of inserts and autographs to chase as Topps revisits the venerable 1990s brand with a high-end twist.

With a new configuration of three mini boxes per overall box and six packs inside similar to Finest, Stadium Club will deliver the hits with an autograph in every single mini. It’s the first Stadium Club set since 2008, a high-end release back then. It did not return in 2009.

This time around, the base set will consist of 200 cards and here’s a small sampling of a bit of everything found in the brand … after the jump.

Those base cards are NICE! That’s a Ted Williams card I want in my collection. I wish they’d keep Stadium Club simple and lower-end, though, focusing on a nice-looking base set with great photography.

This was one of my favorite products ever. I am glad that it’s back. Let’s just hope there’s no game-used dirt cards in it this year. I already purchased a case awhile back.

They should space these product releases out at least 3 weeks apart. Im still broke from Bowman Chrome and Topps Heritage Minors.

Where’s the card we all chased for as kids? The first day issues? Forget the beam team, I remember beckett use to go 25-50x on $5.00 cards and some of those variations was more than the more sought after Beam Team

The return of a set with a large number of on card autos of actual players rather than just prospects
is a good thing. For about $100 you get 3 autos and a number of other goodies. I can see this product
doing quite well, assuming the checklist is reasonable.

Compare this to the current incarnation of Topps Heritage high number set which will have 1 auto per set,
and no stated production levels, completely destroying the value of the individual sets. Somehow they managed
to make Topps Update sets back in the day for under $20 with auto of every person in it.

Ditto Paul. I especially like the Rickey and the Aaron. Not loving the die-cuts or the Lone Star Auto, but the base cards are really nice.

Okay, so I went out today and bought a mini box so Stadium Club. While the photography is as expected awesome. The cards feel cheap. At $40/mini box and $120/box I was expecting and a better quality card stock.

joe – disappointing to hear about the card stock. I’ve only seen pics of the set so far, but I would have hoped cards that look this nice would have been printed on decent stock, if not premium, thick stock (like Topps Prime football). I seem to remember the last Stadium Club set had good card stock. That’s really a bit of a letdown.

Honestly, pretty disappointing product for the price. I really think this should be the standard topps product, 600 card set, for $50 a box. oh and a few more cards than 5 a pack.

The stock quality is really poor for the price. Photos are good yes, but perhaps they look better when you put them against other topps photography.

Card collation is really bad, with many boxes having the exact same cards.

Had high hopes, but its hard to justify the spend on these until the price comes down.
