The key to much of Leaf’s success in the prospect market was on-card autographs. If they’ve gone sticker, what limited interest they had will dwindle.

They are, quite frankly, terrible in their marketing. They should have adopted the Playoff contenders model and revealed print runs after allowing short prints. The search by people to identify the short prints always helped Contenders.

Of course it would also help if Beckett identified the short prints properly in the guide and did not pretend the multiples worked the same for cards of lower production levels.

Just spoke with Leaf CEO Brian Gray and he confirmed all autographs are ON-CARD, no stickers!!!

Leaf ANNOUNCED the short prints, but only did it in most products via ranges relative to the other cards.

Some of the cards have had declared shorter print runs and its silly when a card that has a lower production has a lower book value than the other versions of the card. Doing via multiples just fails more often than not.

Love Leaf. Feel like they are led by a real collector instead of a Marketing CEO looking a bottom lines instead of customer value and satisfaction. There designs aren’t the best. But their loyalty to give their collectors a voice, value, and openness is crazy good compared to Topps and Panini. Do you think you can email the CEO of Topps and Panini and get a personal response? If Leaf had the resources that Topps and Panini has they would corner the market and bring the prices back down to what they should be.
