2017 Topps First Pitch Features Stars and an Incognito Wrigley Field Hot Dog Vendor
By Ryan Cracknell | Hobby Editor
Some collectors aren’t fans of celebrities and non-baseball people appearing in their packs because they’re not baseball. The 2017 Topps First Pitch inserts find a way to branch the sport and pop culture.
Entering it’s third year, the 2017 Topps First Pitch checklist features a mix of actors, singers, athletes from other areas and even a Miss USA.
A total of 20 First Pitch cards are available in 2017 Topps Series 1 Baseball. They’re not all that tough to pull at 1:8 hobby packs (they’re not exclusives and are in hobby jumbo and retail as well).
Among the bigger names in the set are Star Trek legend, William Shatner, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul‘s Bob Odenkirk and rock pioneer, Joan Jett. There’s also Stephen Colbert who attempted to go undercover as a hot dog vendor at Wrigley Field last September.
Here’s a full gallery of all the 2017 Topps Series 1 First Pitch cards. The insert set is slated to grow with the release of Series 2. They’ve been in Update Series in the past as well, although no details are currently known for that set.

Any reason why they skipped FP-18, 19 and 20 ?
Why aren’t FP #18-19-20-24-25 included?
Looks to be an error unless there were intentional plans to fill them in later.
