2015-16 Upper Deck MVP Pro Sign Tuukka Rask

By Ryan Cracknell | Hobby Editor

Autographs and memorabilia are something of a background factor in 2015-16 Upper Deck MVP Hockey. But that doesn’t mean they’re not in there. And not all are available in equal amounts.

Signed cards fall under three main banners. NHL Territories highlight the city where they play. Pro Sign dates back to the brand’s earliest days in the late 1990s. Finally, there are the tough One-on-One Signatures that have a pair of autographs.

NHL Territories are the only memorabilia cards in the product.

After the jump you can see all the various groupings and 2015-16 Upper Deck MVP Hockey short prints. We’ve also done a little number crunching to show exactly how rare individual cards are compared to one another.

The Territories cards have a great design with either the swatch or the auto. Why is Toews the only Blackhawk player with an auto or swatch? Also, does anyone really want to pull and Adam Oates, Arturs Irbe or Grant Fuhr? Nothing against those guys, but the secondary market is full of their cards (they’re inexpensive too.) At least there is a good mix of up and coming players (Hertl, Gaudreau, the Hamburglar, etc.) The dual signature cards have a very weak player selection. This mix of players signing and/or with swatches does not have me too excited to bust some packs.
