How to Spot 2015-16 Panini Revolution Basketball Parallels
By Ryan Cracknell | Hobby Editor
2015-16 Panini Revolution Basketball takes its roots from a defunct Pacific brand. While its roots might not reach as deep as some of the other Pacific names, one thing about it was that it was wild. It stood out as being loud at a time when loud was the norm. For its revival, Panini has certainly kept that look.
It’s apparent in the base set, which uses both heavy foil and patterned backgrounds. And with those come several parallels, some of which are easy to discern and some that aren’t.
Let’s make it a little easier.
The 2015-16 Panini Revolution Basketball parallels come with names as wild as their designs. The likes of Nova, Starburst, Galactic take you into outer space and beyond.
Whereas most parallels take a color approach to create a rainbow, Revolution is more like something you’d find in Topps Tek where it’s the patterns that make up the differences. But when you have some heavy foil blocking much of the foil, the patterns take a little more looking and studying than usual.
Here’s a breakdown of the 2015-16 Panini Revolution Basketball parallels along with some pointers on what to look for. Like Refractors, holding the card under a bright light brings the best results and helps the patterns pop.
