New year, new stickers.

Topps revealed the lineup for its 2015 Topps MLB Sticker Collection on Thursday, giving beginners — and maybe even collecting veterans — a simple option for the new year at just $1 a pack.

Set to arrive on March 4, it will include 50 packs per box and 16 boxes per case, while each album will include 32 pages and a sheet of six free stickers.

The set will consist of more than 300 stickers featuring MLB players and mascots with a page for each MLB team and more in the lineup.

The mascot stickers don’t do it for me, but nice to see players like Pedro Martinez included. I think it would be cool for Topps to bring back the foil for stars and All-Star “star” design as a callback to the early 1980s sticker sets.

Something that Topps should fix is the backgrounds on the album pages. Cool that players are featured, but their faces get covered if you fill in all the stickers.

The Mascot stickers DO do it for my kids, who this product is designed for. Fun, inexpensive “project” to work on gearing up for the season. I agree with the layout and foil and star design suggestions, but do wish the “binding” in the albums was a little more secure….ah, wadda you expect for $2. Glad Topps is keeping this going.
