First look: 2013-14 Panini Spectra Basketball cards

By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Basketball Editor

Panini debuted the Spectra brand in last season’s football releases. It’s making the move to basketball in July when 2013-14 Spectra hits the market.

Each box will contain four autographed memorabilia cards and one memorabilia card. Each box will have just eight cards. All the cards will be showcased on Optimchrome printing technology, according to Panini.

The parallels in Spectra include Green (numbered to 199), Blue (numbered to 65), Red Die-Cut (numbered to 25), Gold (numbered to 10) and Black (1-of-1).

The autographed memorabilia cards will include a number of basketball stars, specifically Spectacular Swatch Signatures will have some of the biggest names.

Rookies will be featured in Rookie Jersey Autographs.

The memorabilia cards include Jumbo Prime Materials, numbered to 10 or less, and Rookie Jumbo Jerseys.

2013-14 Spectra Basketball is set to come out July 16.

Agree, they can’t get the jersey pieces that match the card? Then why do they even produce the cards with All-star pictures and make them members cards. Ridiculous

Joe I don’t think this is a high end product. Just because you polish a turf and put a high price tag on it doesn’t mean it isn’t still a turd.
