Topps adds vintage baseball card wrappers to its wall art offerings

This time, it’s the wrappers.

Topps launched a new line of wall art for the baseball collector on Tuesday, and this time it’s 38 years’ worth of memorable baseball card wrappers getting the nod as limited-edition pieces of art.

The Topps Baseball Wrapper Art Collection will include each year from 1952 to 1989 will be available as 10- by 14-inch prints limited to just 99 serial-numbered copies. They will cost $29.99 per year and be available on


A smaller offering of 5- by 7-inch prints will be available as decade sets for $49.99.

This is the latest line in a wave of several offerings showcasing past baseball cards, team logos and more from the longest-running manufacturer of MLB cards. You can see all 38 wrapper prints below.

Not to be nit picky, but I was just checking out the 1987 wrapper on the Topps website (87 Topps is a favorite of mine).. and they got the wrapper wrong.. in 1987 Topps offered 17 cards per pack, not 15. Just my opinion, but if they are going to do these prints in a limited run, why not do a little quality control check before hand?
