Topps’ first 2014 high-end NFL product will come out in August with 2014 Inception.
Topps will include three hits in every box with at least two autographs. The third hit will be either a Jumbo Jersey or Patch Relic Card. Each box will also include two veteran base cards and two veteran parallels.
The base set will consist of 100 NFL veterans with 10 short-print variations featuring veterans in images from their rookie season. Parallels for the base set include Green, Purple, Magenta, Red, Blue, and Framed Printing Plates.
The Rookie Autographs will be players from the NFL Players Association Rookie Premiere with on-card signatures. The Rookie Autographs will have five parallels: Green, Purple, Magenta (numbered to 50), Red (numbered to 25) and Blue (1-of-1).
Other autograph designs include:
Inception Silver Signings: On-card autographs in silver ink on a black card design. Other versions include Gold Ink parallels, a Gold Signings Nickname parallel, Gold Signings Inscriptions, and Gold Signings QB Playbook.
Quad Rookie Autographs with players from the NFLPA Rookie Premiere.
QB Inception Autographs with quarterbacks invited to the premiere, which will likely include players such as Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles. These cards will also be produced in Magenta, Red and Blue parallels.
The autograph relics will feature Inception Autographed Jumbo Patches, Inception Autograph Patch Book Cards and Inception Autograph Letters Book.
The Autographed Jumbo Relics will come in six parallels: Green, Purple, Magenta, Orange (Glove), Red (Swoosh) and Blue (Team Logo). The book cards will come in rare parallels with Nike laundry tags and NFL Shields, respectively.
Relics come in two forms with Rookie Patches and Rookie Jumbo Relics. They will have Green, Purple, Magenta, Red, and Blue (Team Logo) parallels. The Jumbo Relics will also have a Black (Nike Swoosh) 1-of-1 parallel.
While the mockups show players in non-descript uniforms, Topps says that players will appear in their NFL uniforms when the cards are released.

This has got to be THE UGLIEST card design ever.
Other than base Topps and maybe one or two Panini products (Score?), I am out on football. The mind-numbing focus on rookies is too much. It is like a disease that is killing the patient. I like collecting cards of players that actually play. I’ve been collecting for 35 years, and they have nearly driven me out of the football market. Luckily, the other sports aren’t nearly as bad, although basketball is starting to trend that way.
Usually this product is nothing special even due its a high end product or basically meaning its over $100 a box. But I hate to say it but it looks really good from these photos. That Autoed play artwork card is different and I love the gold ink. I’ll be skipping the box and just be buying those.
