By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Basketball Editor

Panini has added more chase elements to Crusade basketball cards.

In 2013-14 Panini Crusade Basketball, three new color variations have been included in the popular Crusade design.

Collectors can find 18 Crusade cards in every box. The new colors are Teal (numbered to 249), Orange Die-Cut (numbered to 99) and Purple (numbered to 49). Other parallels include Blue, Red (numbered to 349), Gold (numbered to 10), Green (numbered to 5) and Black (1-of-1).

Each box will come with six packs and five cards in each pack. There will be one autograph and memorabilia card in every box.

The autograph sets include Quest, High Praise Ink, Hardwood Homage, Sultans of Springfield, Majestic Marks and Apprentice Signatures, which features up to 40 rookies.

There will be at least one memorabilia card in every box from Quest (numbered to 299 or less), Quest Prime (numbered to 25 or less), Majestic (numbered to 299 or less) or Majestic Prime (numbered to 25 or less).

The base set will consist of 150 cards with another 50 Rookie Cards (one in three packs) and 50 Legends (one in three packs).

The inserts include Nobility (1:14), Royalty (1:18) and Knight Court (1:18).

2013-14 Panini Crusade Basketball is scheduled to come out May 7.

Best looking basketball cards of the year! Glad to hear it’s moving in a slightly more set-builder direction. The mem and autos looked good last year, but the Crusades are incredible!
