Michael Jordan’s “flu” sneakers consigned to Grey Flannel

By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Basketball Editor

Grey Flannel Auctions is still putting its holiday auction together, and a unique basketball item has been consigned to the auction house.

Michael Jordan’s game-used sneakers from Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals will hit the auction block. He also signed them. Basketball fans might easily recognize that game.

The Flu Game.

Jordan wasn’t at his best physically in that game, but despite being sick he still managed to score 38 points. Being sick wouldn’t allow Jordan to miss this crucial game. Now, his sneakers from that game will be available.

Other items from Grey Flannel’s Holiday Auction include Don Larsen’s perfect game official scorecard, Sam Byrd’s 1932 New York Yankees championship ring and a 1928 NY Yankees World Championship Team Autographed Baseball with Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig & Jacob Ruppert.

WOW! I’m a baseball only guy, but I would still love to own this. Unfortunately, my funds barely allow me to crack 3-4 boxes a year, so I won’t be bidding. Good stuff, though.
