Panini America is bringing the Select brand back to hockey.

While note a huge name in the hockey world, Panini is resurrecting the brand after a nearly 20-year absence.

Every hobby box will come with two mini boxes that will contain two autographs, two Prizm parallels and three inserts in each.

This hobby-only product will push the Double Rookie Class with Autographed Rookie Cards and Autographed Jersey cards of rookies. The memorabilia cards will have Patch and Tag versions.

There are seven inserts in Select, including Freezers (top current and former goalies) and Youth Explosion. The inserts will highlight the best of the past, present and future.

The base set will have 150 cards with more than 100 players in the rookie subset.

Select is scheduled for an early November release.

So… the base cards won’t have any brand identifier on the front?

Or is the Crosby card missing some graphics?

It’s just a mock-up. There will be branding on the base card, according to Panini.
