As if 2012 football products weren’t hot enough, the Cleveland Browns traded running back Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts (according to ESPN) – making his cards already more exciting.
Richardson rushed for 950 yard with 11 touchdowns last season. He was one of those players that was on the second or third tier of rookies in a hyped rookie class. But with Doug Martin and Alfred Morris doing well last season, Richardson wasn’t the top running back for collectors.
A new team – a winning team – could change that outlook. With Andrew Luck as the Colts quarterback, they already have an impressive passing game. That could lead to a better running game and give Richardson more opportunities.
He had 105 yards on 31 carries in two games this season.
Richardson was the third overall pick from 2012 – two spots behind Luck.
