That is pretty awesome packaging! Nice product.

I was very into HOS last year! The product looks great! I wonder how eclectic this gets, I see the boxing (Ali). Nice job!

Wow, another great looking product. Love the fact that no matter the box, you always get some value or big hits!

That looks cool! I dig the “envelope system” instead of actual packs. Looks a little more regal. Cut autos, cards, memorabilia, way to be diverse. On a side note, Gretzky is one I have ALWAYS wanted to add to my collection.

This stuff looks really good ecspecially how you opened a case and could not see one bad pull. I’m not sure of the pricing but I say if you have the coin spend it on this stuff. The different sports fits perfect for collectors lioe myself who collects multi-sports. The Gretzky autograph is pretty sweet I’m a huge fan of his so I hope I win. Hopefully this heroes and sports stick around so I can save some money next year and grab a box .

Never seen so much packaging before! The envelopes were different. Wish I could afford this type of high end product. Sounded like you were WWE fans, is there any WWE hits in these boxes? If so that would be cool.

Wow that’s awesome! I wish I could afford to buy a case of Heroes of Sport let alone a box just to get a chance at cards that I would never be able to buy. You never know what comes out of those boxes.

That’s pretty cool. I like the fact that it’s multi-sport, too. And that Gretzky is sick! Reminds of when I used to play NHL 92 on Sega!

The ‘Heroes of Sport’ series looks like a fantastic high-end product. The items are all of note-worthy, famous sports’ figures — whether it be memorabilia and/or autographs on cards or helmets or jerseys or pucks/baseballs/etc, and the chance on already-graded hits makes the repackaged product very enticing…even at its price range. The packaging lends an air of mystery to the overall great presentation for each sealed “envelope” within each serial-numbered wooden box. I love it, I think it is a wonderful product with minimal let-down scenarios.

A+ Product.

Even though it is a large amount of money, I think it is way worth it. Names like Ryan, Ali, Mantle, Manning, and Gretzky are amazing pulls, and that’s only naming a few! And the best part, you guys having a HUGE giveaway throughout! Awesome guys, just amazing!

Nice product, but was the case shipped to Beckett direct? It would be very good press to ship a great case to Beckett knowing it’s going to be on the website. I guess I’m just cynical with these repacks that they can choose where certain cases go unless a 3rd party distributor ships all the cases randomly.

The positives, great mix of different sports with old and new players and for the most part I thought these boxes had some pretty good ROI, Return on Investment. Which is the aim I think for the target market for $500+ boxes. Negatives,I always have to wonder about boxes that are sent into Beckett though as they normally seem to have better pulls than the boxes I normally get. Even though good mix of old and new players most of the older players items were pretty weak in my opinion and I would only stick to the big 4 sports and leave boxing out of the picture even though the Ali cut auto was ok.

Wow Very nice product last time around Hero’s went fast. I like the multi-sport idea similar to Leaf Products reminds me of the Excell prepackage boxes fromm Kmart and Target but multiplied to the power of 10.
Really cool not sure what the coin is just guessing 500. or better. Whats nice about these Themed Products is you are going to get a great selection of quality cards. I just hope I can get a pack or a box but my coin is slim 2 kids in College hard to manage Top Tier products like this but if I was in the Market this is better than buying a case of any lower tier product. This seems to be a trend right now in the card market and I like it.
I’d love to be awared the Great-one AUTO PUCK I mean who wouldn’t .
thanks guys keep it up

I must say, I’m very intrigued by this product, mostly because of the hodgepodge of items that are included. It looks like a little bit of everything is in these boxes: cards, redemptions for equipment and jerseys, 1/1’s, autographs, patches, and vintage items. I like the diversity among the sports, too. Baseball, football, basketball, hockey, boxing are all included. As with any product, there are always issues. The price is high, there is excess packaging and they are very limited. However, if you’re going to shell out $500/box, you definitely want high end packaging to protect the goods and something that is unique. Overall, it looks like a great product with a vast variety of intriguing items that would make any collector happy!

Even though this product has a very high price point, the hits they were pulling in the video were quite strong. There is a great chance to pull a monster hit and at the very least your chance to break even on the box is strong so if you got the money to spend on it, its worth a shot!

Posted September 11, 2013 at 10:18 am | Permalink

Last year I was involved in the “Heroes of Sport” Baseball edition and I was pleasantly surprised. I was such a special product. Although it was out of most people’s price range it has a following. The collectors who were involved in the weekly point’s promotion were very passionate; it was great to see that in the hobby again. The guys who ran it were top notch as well. I never thought they could top it, well I was wrong, and this box break was fantastic, the items and packaging were even better. If you think about the hobby we all want to see it keep evolving and getting better, this product did just that.

The thing that came to my mind about this product is “great product.” Although it is high end, it gives collectors the opportunity to get older memorabilia. For instance, if you started collecting in 2013, you may not have been able to get memorabilia from the 1990s or 2000s. Perhaps that era was somewhat dried out. This gives collectors the chance to get high end rare collectibles. That’s awesome and that’s a good, unique spin on collecting. That keeps the hobby exciting.

I’m not worthy, I’m not worthy. I would do anything to get my hands on this product. I have started to search my furniture for change, picking up all pop cans, and even checking the pay phones for change. Awesome product to save all you money for just to get a chance at something that you usually don’t received in a box break. This is one of the best products and I’m hoping to save enough to get build a time machine similar to Back to the Future and buy at least one box before anybody can get their hands on it. Excellent A++++++++++.

I love this product, and love they decided to do a all sport pack. Each box contains sports memorabilia history, and you just don’t get that epic feeling from other new high end releases. I think some main stream brands should take notes on this product.

at $250/hit, it seems like one might be able to acquire a lot of those types of items at a better price (for gretzky, a gretzky certified auto or a piece of paper he signed that has been looked at and has an opinion that it is real).

definitely a few hits that I think would exceed $250 (paquiao gloves, for instance) so there is a chance for a bargain in the box but I think getting a bargain at the average price per hit is more miss than hit.

If I had the coin I wanted to spend, I think i’d be doing singles of the athletes that interest me in this product because I likely could be spending less to acquire autographed or patch-card items.

Awesome product. you can see that they learned from last years product how to better produce and present this product. The pulls are worth the cost. When you compare what you see pulled in this video Panini, Upper Deck and Topps should feel humiliated. when you spend 4, 5, 6 hundred dollars for their premier product, your fortunate to get half your money back if that. It would appear that Heroes of Sport are more concerned with the integrity of there product, instead of the amount of there shareholders dividends. I will buy this product and be happy to let every one know what I get. I have been collecting since 1991 and have like many noticed for the last few years the utter disrespect and contempt the big card companies show to there customers. Like giving redemptions for cards that aren’t even signed yet, and may never be signed. Or like putting three or four $2.00 autographs and $1.00 jerseys hits in there boxes at $5.00 to $20.00 pack. What is nice is when you get a redemption and they show you a picture of whats waiting for you. way to go Heroes of Sport thanks for giving collectors something not to be angry about.

Awesome product! Certainly out of my price range, but I always enjoy seeing the higher end breaks, just to see what they’re like.

Posted September 13, 2013 at 7:04 am | Permalink

That’s 100% high end… I know people often complain about redemptions; however, I don’t see anyone moaning and groaning over redemptions for high end items like the Gretzky puck, Namath helmet, or Dr. J jersey! The cards weren’t any less spectacular, highlighted by the Ali cut autograph. This Heroes of Sport product can be rather expensive, but those who have the cash and want a thrill will obviously be rewarding nicely. The ideal scenario for most collectors is a group break such as this. You don’t have to pay a ton of money for a spot and still have a great chance at a Gretzky puck or Ali cut auto!

It’s awesome that a Beckett member will be getting that Gretzky puck! I have always wanted one in my collection, as I’m sure most people here have as well. Good luck to all those involved and a big thanks to Beckett and Heroes of Sport for providing the break!

I like the product, but the packaging is a little much. How many trees died for this product?

I’m a baseball guy, so I would be more likely to buy a baseball exclusive product. But, even I would be thrilled with a autograph from “The Great One”. (My wife is a hockey fan, so she would be thrilled too.)

I’m of the opinion that multi sport card sets are usually ho-hum, but if these are redemptions for actual memorabilia pieces along with cards, this is a different animal.

Great idea and product. If i had the money i’d buy some of these.

I sure love the packaging of this very high end product (from my perspective). I really think the packaging is a huge part of bringing the utmost experience to collectors, no matter how expensive, or not, the product is. I’m used to building OPC sets year after year. I’ve got to say that although I am a fairly conservative collector, I’m appreciative of the innovative ideas that go into such products. Buying a sports card pack and getting an actual puck out of it ?!? Now, THAT’S what I’m talking about!

Definitely a sweet product. I like the fact that pretty much everybody you pull is a star, and the redemptions were great, especially the Gretzky puck and Dr. J jersey.

Awesome product and sweet packaging. Yeah its pricey but you know you will get at least a few cool cards …if not all 4 in a box.

Everyone is looking at the fancy packaging it is in and creating an illusion of a higher end product then it really is. My advice cut your packaging in half then they could have sprinkled some vintage RC’s or PMG’s from 97 of Jordan and Kobe for some real value. Really enjoyed the video.

Depends on price. I cant see it being less than $500 so Im gonna say its a nice product just a little overpriced. I think a $400 price point for this product is perfect. Especially for a group break. $100 a man, everyone gets a hit. Would be great. Unfortunately I dont see that happening. Packaging is nice, but a bit overkill (except the sealed inner envelopes which I love). If they get rid of the points and increase price it would be unfortunate.

I wonder if they havent released price info yet bc they’re waiting to see feedback/comments on the break to gauge what they can get away with charging…

For a high end product like this you would expect nice packaging. Wish I could afford something like this.

I loved watching this break and will enjoy the other breaks of this product as well; however, I don’t see paying for this myself. It’s too big of a risk not knowing what you’ll pull. Group breaks or big spenders would be better off. I’d prefer to spend that amount of money on something I know I want. Still, it’s very exciting and would be a thrill to open. Anytime you get a Gretzky or Ali like that, you know you’ve done well.

WOW! First of all. Awesome contest!

fun product but like others have said on here, can’t afford it. I really wished that Heroes Of Sport would find a way to target us midlevel collectors who can’t afford the high end stuff. But I do like the variety that it adds.

Thanks for another great contest and edition of Box Busters. If I was to win this, I would cry on my mother-in-laws shoulder and post it onto Beckett’s Facebook wall.

Another repackaged product, but seems to be a little more value in this years product.

Great looking product wish there were a few more hits and maybe keep it to just the four major sports. Not many people are interested in UFC and Baseball. I did enjoy the Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali autographs that I have seen.

Never could i drop the money for this product but it is great to virtually open a box through yall. The DR J jersey was killer.

I have met gretzky at the BMW PRO AM and he was pretty cool. Well that was till my nephew and his friend had us banned from being anywhere near him.

His brothers used to coach and play for the asheville smoke when we had a minor league hockey team. It has to be hard to be his brother. When brent would skate out the other teams fans would yell the not so great one.

I like pucks and I can not lie all you other brothers can deny but when a puck flys by your face you get sprung

Heroes of Sport is amazing! Loved the break Beckett did last year, and I’m super happy that Beckett opened a full case this year. Name any other product that can yield all these hits, from a Gretzky auto, to Peterson patch x6, Ali cut auto, and a Russell Wilson patch, all in one box? Then, multiply that by 3- I wish I could afford a box, let alone a case! I also love this year that there is more memorabilia and things that don’t fit in the box. From what I’ve heard, Heroes of Sport has never had any redemption problems, and I know of no other products that have chances at full sized memorabilia items, that are more than likely autographed, and possibly game used. Just when you think you have an idea of what’s coming next, a Manny Pacquiao signed boxing glove pops out! Absolutely amazing. You have to love the presentation too. The quality in this is incredible, even the boxes look amazing, from the other cardboard box to the inner most wooden box wrapped with packaging! Then you think of everything that is being pulled and how long it must have taken to track everything down. It really makes you appreciate how much effort they put into creating an amazing product. Repackaged products normally stink, but Heroes of Sport is possibly the best product on the market, including non-repackaged products. I’m in love with this product!!!

Follow up comment: Just saw price point of $2,880 for a 3 box case! Wow. Nearly double last year’s price. I think there’s a lot better ways to spend $1,000 per box. What are the big hits & hot boxes worth? In mainstream products you get a lot of boxes that lose value, a bunch that give a reasonable return, and the chance to pull a card worth 50 times the box price. (Last year I was lucky enough to spend $60 on a box and sell a card I pulled from it for $3,000). Im well aware that you cant expect that to happen, but Im curious if possibility exists (i.e. are there boxes worth $30k, $40k? $50k? Doubtful.

I can see the potential for big hits, but I’m not convinced it’s totally worth it.Whomever created the company buys high end and re-packages it.Anyone with deep enough pockets could do the same thing. The idea was smart, but for the price point;I’m not sold. Most of what was pulled could be purchased on the secondary market, ebay, for less money.Obviously the company is making money or else they wouldn’t be in business, but the monster hits are what’s going to drive it.A vast majority of the cards can be purchased for less than the box price and for the case price, even some of the monster hits could be purchased for the same money. They’re going to make some good money on the product, but what they’ve inserted or giving away has cost them less than what they’re selling it for.Again idea, but anyone with deep enough pockets could do the same thing.

I love this product although I haven’t hit the lottery as of yet, so it has to stay on my wish list rather than my shopping cart. The Gretzky auto would fit nicely into my collection, however.
