whats the odds everything is a redemption that will amount to horrible auto from a fake set that nobody wants. Bryce harper auto redemption equals a Fergie Jenkins!!!

Jackson,

Such negativity! Also lets not dump on Fergie Jenkins, the man is a HOFer. The first Canadian HOFer mind you…

One Little Corner is my favorite insert. I like the idea.

Allen & Ginter is set my favorite release, but it is getting sort of weak when it comes to hits!!!

“Well, Pam… Which way you going, left or right?”
“Right!”
“Oh, that’s too bad…”
“Why?”
“Because it was a fifty fifty shot on whether you’d be going left or right. You see we’re both going left. You could have just as easily been going left, too. And if that was the case… It would have been a while before you started getting scared. But since you’re going the other way, I’m afraid you’re gonna have to start getting scared… immediately!”

Thanks for the contest Beckett! Here’s my question; What was the rationale to have a non-framed relic in this set? It strays from the trademark ginter frame and seems not to fit to me. Thanks

Posted August 8, 2013 at 11:15 am | Permalink

Thanks for the video Chris and Susan! Really love the Ginter line up this year. Some nice mix of retired players this year. Will be interested to see if the Pele mini also has a “missing text” version. Love the oddities that is A & G.

I want to see a rip card pulled!

Posted August 8, 2013 at 11:17 am | Permalink

I love the design, I’m just not sure I’m going to buy a box this year. In 5 years, I’ve never really pulled much from Ginter. We’ll see.

This is a different product, to say the least. Artwork is subtle, yet beautifully done. This box must have your name on it. 2 Swishers!

Any word on what the Select Picks inserts are? 1:900,000 packs pretty rare but hard to get an idea on popularity if no one knows what they are!

i do really like the painterly/watercolor style of these cards…enough that i momentarily considered trying to build the set this year. but then reason re-entered my mind and i decided to stick with my yankees. and maybe a couple oddballs like henry rollins & ed o’neill (chrissy teigen’s alright be she ain’t no erin andrews or kate upton like last year).

What other product is this similar to? As in, I know that I’ve seen a competitors product with the assortment of different genres.

Wow, very informative, as always. I appreciate the answer. I definitely agree, Allen & Ginter is by far top of the line, as with the different genres. Topps definitely reaches out to many different types of fans. Topps never disappoints, as it comes to my humble opinion.

Gotta love it! 13 in a row. I’m convinced that the Braves are sending that greasy mess from the new waffle house location to the opponents locker room, before games. Screws my stomach, every time. :-)

Of course, when I finally get on to listen and watch, you pull a Babe Ruth Black mini. Just my luck. When I open, I get a Cub or somebody, no Yankees.

It’s Allen & Ginter. It’s weird every year. I’m not a big fan (especially because of all the nonsports inserts – I think Men With Hats was the worst, though Curious Cases is pushing it), though some of the autos and relics are great. Pele would be my favorite this year.
Perhaps they can get Bruno Sammartino to sign next year. That would be the wrestling auto that would get the most collectibility.
