Panini offers to swap stickers of Aaron Hernandez for Tim Tebow

By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Football Editor

Panini America is giving Aaron Hernandez the boot from its upcoming products.

Hernandez, who is in currently in jail as a murder suspect, will be replaced by New England’s Tim Tebow in Panini’s 2013 releases, the company announced on its blog today. The changeover will start with Rookies & Stars, set to be released August 21.

In Panini’s upcoming sticker album, Hernandez already has a placeholder with his former Patriot teammates. However, Panini is offering replacement stickers to those who want to switch out their Hernandez ones with those of Tebow.

Panini has printed more than 1 million oversized Tebow stickers to replace Hernandez on the New England page, the company stated. Tebow has also officially replaced Hernandez on the sticker checklist.

Those who want to swap out their stickers can send the sticker and a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) to Panini America, Tim Tebow Sticker Swap, 5325 FAA Blvd., Suite 100, Irving, Texas 75061.

Wow, they printed more than 1 MILLION of the Tebow stickers. I guess that goes to show how high the print run is for the Panini stickers.
