Beckett Media launches weekly Facebook chats

For those of you who just can’t get enough sports card chatter in your lives beyond Beckett.com, our message boards, Box Busters episodes and Twitter, we’re adding something else to the mix.

Beckett Media will be launching weekly chats via Facebook with the first being Chatter Up, a Wednesday Q&A segment with Beckett Baseball Editor Chris Olds that appears on the Beckett Media LLC Facebook page.

For now, it will be a simple real-time chat. But, who knows, perhaps it will evolve into something more as we go along. Either way, it’s one more chance for collectors to chat about the hobby and collecting as well as win some cool stuff each and every week.

Chatter Up — Wednesday nights at 8:30 Central on the Beckett Media LLC Facebook page.

Want to win a four-hobby pack lot of Panini Marquee basketball cards? Check out the thread for this week here and tell us what you think in the comments below. We’ll pick one winner at random on May 29.

Its always nice when collectors can get together and chat about the hobby. And even moreso when you can chat with the people who run the guide we’ve all looked to for many years on values.

If you have not visited yet be there next week for chatter up. Moderated by one of the leaders in the hobby. Not only is he a beckett power that be. He is also a fan just like all of us. You do not even need to be a baseball fan to learn or participate in the discussions. For new collectors or veteran hall of gamers there is something for everyone. Plus if that we’re not enough prizes.

I love these chats with Chris, he is very insightful and not afraid to convey his professional and personal opinions when answering questions. I enjoy coming up with questions to ask him to see what type of answer he provides, and always leave the chat feeling inspired and intellectually fed. Thank you Beckett and thank you Chris for having these weekly q&a sessions!
