Free Price Wednesday: 2013 Topps Derek Jeter cards

By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Sports Card Monthly Editor

It’s Wednesday and around these parts at Beckett that means Free Price Wednesday!!!

OK, sometimes I get a little hyper about things, but this FPW will be fun. The newest product to get pricing in the OPG is 2013 Topps Baseball. And with pitchers and catchers reporting this week, it seems like a great time to check out the set.

The Chasing History Autographs are the highest priced cards in the database with Sandy Koufax’s and Bryce Harper’s redemption topping the list with a $400 high book value. Sneaking in at the same high price is a 2013 World Champion Autograph Relics (numbered to 50) of Buster Posey.

But the first non-autograph or memorabilia card priced on the high-end of 2013 Topps Baseball is the Pink parallel of Derek Jeter for $250. The next non-hit is the Black Jeter parallel.

So for this installment of FPW, let’s look at the prices for Jeter’s newest 2013 cards.

Of course, there are several cards that N/A based on scarcity such as printing plates and the retail parallels. But Jeter has 28 cards – including 1-of-1s – 2013 Topps.

Happy collecting!

wow. so there are 7 different cards, all produced in 2013 that are worth $40 and above? Topps isn’t in the business of printing baseball cards, they are in the business of printing money!
