Cris Carter signs deal with Steiner

By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Football Editor

One of the newest members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame has signed an exclusive agreement with Steiner Sports.

Cris Carter, a standout for the Minnesota Vikings, signed a collectibles deal with Steiner Sports, joining the company’s large roster of athletes. The Carter Hall of Fame line will include signed Ohio State and Vikings helmets, mini-helmets, footballs and photographs.

“It is always our primary goal to bring special pieces of memorabilia signed by sports greatest players to fans and collectors,” company founder and CEO Brandon Steiner said. “As an eight-time Pro Bowl selection, Cris Carter certainly fits in that category, and is a proud addition to the Steiner Family.”

Carter went to eight Pro Bowls and had eight seasons of more than 1,000 receiving yards. Carter ranks ninth all-time with 13,899 career receiving yards.

Was there really a need to overpay to lock him up exclusively? It’s not like collectors think of Cris Carter on the same level with superstars if his era (i.e. Elway, Marino, Young, Montana, Rice, Aikman, Smith, and Sanders).

How much did Steiner pay Beckett to run this “News”

It was a press release and we wrote much like we write other news from companies that send us press releases about trading cards and collectibles. It wasn’t Earth-shattering news, but still news, no matter how insignificant it is in your life.

WOW, what a bunch of haters and he definitely belongs in any conversation about all-time greats. You can only name 2 RB’s and 1 WR besides all QB’s? If Cris Carter had Montana and Young throwing to him then you would be saying he was up there with Rice. Carter got 2 years with Warren Moon and that’s it, the rest were bums or one year and done with the Vikings.
