On a somewhat related note, I used to collect the annual media guides from some of my favorite teams (mostly NHL), but it seems that in many cases those guides are no longer available as printed books, but only as either downloadable pdf files or pdf files on a CD-ROM. More convenient for the teams and media, no doubt, and it gives all fans easy access to the information (since they can download the files from team websites), but it pretty much marks the end of collecting such items in the future.

The convenience is nice, however I definitely miss physical tickets. Too many e-Tickets these days. I have tickets from every major concert and sporting game I have been to, and I hate getting e-Tickets printed out on regular paper.

I have season tickets for the Philadelphia Union and for the last three seasons have received a swipe card in lieu of paper tickets. It's convenient because I can put it in my wallet and not worry about losing my tickets.
