promotions are supposed to be fair for all collectors…. it is to try to keep people interested in the hobby & to get them to spend more money…

no wonder, so many collectors have stopped buying sports cards….

How many kids do you know that actually collect sports cards? I have not met anybody under the age of 25 that collects sports cards in San Diego, Ca. Majority that I have met.. have been collecting for 20+ years…

I have grown tired of collecting, because of the high prices & greed that businesses & collectors have…

If your hobby store does not take care of you, go somewhere else.
Then again, if you only buy the occasional pack, and someone else is dropping $1000 a month,
they know who’s the one paying to keep the lights on.

How many card shops will sell these promotional packs on ebay & keep the money? or give them to their big spenders.. then say they ran out or don’t have any… when a young collector comes in to buy a few packs of cards with their lunch money and/or savings…. ?

some collectors have to save 2-3 months to buy a box of cards… out of 5 LCS in my area, only one had Black Friday packs.. & they had 20… which were giving out 5 packs that were already preselected & taped to certain boxes of Panini products…

Basketball was not one of the chosen products… because the fan base of basketball cards is not very big in San Diego… they are a hard cell.. since most people buy their cards online, instead of a LCS…

I’m guessin Canadian retailers aren’t participating cause most card companies don’t give 2 licks about us up North.

I don’t excited about these things anymore because my hobby store in town NEVER participates in these kinds of promotions. It’s The Book Broker that’s listed in the dealer guide of Beckett magazine. It Stinks that they don’t and is extremely frustrating…..
