“hating the Yankees only really applies in the free agency era” … I rarely disagree with you Chris, but this has to be a slip.

Hating the Yankees MUST BE warranted (although I’m not old enough to have witnessed personally), by all those fans that saw them win 4 and 5 World Series in a row and every other WS inbetween; no free agency required for said driven-hatred.

That is what I call dedication. I hate the Yankees with a passion (the organization not the players). I am like you, I don’t collect my player because of possible future value but because I like collecting him. Now you can stock pile on him since he will be affordable.

I am a 13 year old who really enjoys collecting and watching your “box busters” videos. This is a bit off topic, but what made you want to collect Swisher? Also, I can see why it doesn’t effect you much because he already went through this process three other times when let go by the A’s, so you are somewhat used to it.

cleveland overpaid for swisher. i know swisher is from ohio, but why cleveland? i guess he chose money over winning. i wouldn’t be surprised if he’s traded this year or next season

You are an idiot. Yankees payroll is inflated by ARod The Ego who is now borderline useless. Don’t forget that the ARod deal saved the Rangers and was a win win for the Yankees (one year; 2009) and MLB as a whole. Luxury tax is what allows these “small market” teams to lock up talent until they are 30 before they get overpaid past their prime in free agency by goliaths like the Yanks, Red Sox, and now Dodgers. Don’t cry because your team has a garbage stadium and the owners don’t want to pay to keep players. If you are a poor man don’t buy a major league team, plain and simple. Clown, sit back and admire the 27 rings!
