I still remember being at a Tacoma Rainiers game and Hearing Raul Ibanez! in that game he went 4 for 5 one homerun. one of my favorite sets is a 1991 Rainiers team set. Any team that has Raul on their team has a great asset to their team.

The awkward tween years? Those years were only awkward for me, because I stopped collecting in the tween years, because cards go too expensive.

His cards may not be worth much, but I’ll always smile when I pull an Ibanez card. Maybe my favorite baseball experience occured years ago when Ibanez was playing in the Arizona Fall League. Before a game, players were making sandwhiches for themselves in the duggout. My girlfriend (now wife) was waiting patiently to ask some of the players to sign some cards that she had. Ibanez spotted her and asked if she’d like for him to make her a sandwhich! How many of you out there have ever had a player offer to make you a sandwhich? Yeah, that’s what I thought.
