UPDATE: Topps teases Valor, coming in 2013

Topps started the tease at the 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention. Officials from the company handed out little beige stickers with a “V” emblem and were coy about the meaning.
Just spread the word, they said.
Then, a Twitter account popped up adding to the mystery @V_Is_For.
The Twitter account slowly released pictures of cards in association with inspirational quotes from some of history’s greatest leaders and thinkers over the last two days. After reading the account and looking at new card images, one guess is the letter stands for ‘Victory.’
UPDATE: We learned tonight with a change of the Twitter account, the V stands for Valor. The Twitter account, which has changed its name to @Topps_Valor_FB tweets the product is scheduled for February 2013.
One tweet read: “Victory is reserved for those who are willing to pay it’s price.” – Sun Tzu.”
That tweet was linked to a picture of an autographed Alshon Jeffery card that had the “V” logo with it.
There were four total tweets like that showing off pictures of a yet to be announced product, but playing up the victory theme with words on cards such as “Honor” and “Courage.”
The Twitter account started on Aug. 5 and every couple of days just tweeted out thematic quotes.
“”The only yardstick for success … is being a champion. No one remembers anything else.” – John Madden”
