Absolutely a complete shame. Honestly I could care less about basketball, and Football only goes until late January. Hockey is such an integral part of life around here in the Buffalo area. It really is something that many many people tune in to watch or even go to games just to have something to do. Though the team has not been all that much of a contender over the last several years, they still are 100% better than the disappointing Buffalo Bills. The Bills are a large reason for which I have lost interest in football, though it is things like fantasy leagues that keep me busy. I love coming home from work and turning on my tv, kicking back on the couch and watching my Sabres play. It always is exciting and gives just about everyone something to both look forward to and enjoy. As far as collecting goes, the only good thing about this, being that if the season becomes a total wash, I can get my bank account back on track lol. I love ripping wax, and enjoy visiting my local hobby shop, however the ten grand plus I spent this year on hockey cards has put a burden on my cash flow. I'm done looking at the negatives, now I can focus on saving my money, and having more to spend when the ****heads running the show in the NHL decide to get the ball rolling again. Thanks NHL you have just put over ten thousand bucks back in my pocket!

I still can't get over the fact that all parties involved would even think about a lock out after what happened last time. Many fans walked out as well. Including myself. And I used eat, sleep, and breath hockey. Many of these players don't even realize how long it took to restore hockey nor realize its not what it once was. They will lose every single step they took forward if there is a lockout. And As hard as every step forward was I cannot believe they are going to risk losing that. Just blows my mind. I do not side with anybody when it comes to a lockout. My feeling is you make money or earn money doing something you love and do what many would give anything for a few minutes of. I'll say it again now what I said back then. See ya!
