2012 Prominence Football released today

By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Football Editor

The newest football product 2012 Panini Prominence is on the shelves.

One hobby box comes with just one pack of eight cards, including three hits.

Some of the big names in Prominence include the 2012 rookies, especially Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III. With Wednesday being the first official day of the release, let’s take a look at some of the cards that have appeared on eBay.

There aren’t many RG3 autos on eBay yet, but the ones that are there are already asking a good price.

- 2012 Prominence Robert Griffin III jersey/auto /15
- 2012 Prominence Robert Griffin III die-cut patch /49

Andrew Luck is getting the same treatment. His earliest Prominence autographs are even more than Griffin’s asking price.

- 2012 Prominence Andrew Luck logo patch auto /80

These autos are some of the most expensive cards on eBay from Prominence. The rest of the high-valued cards come from players such as Brock Osweiler and Troy Polamalu. Many of the other autos from guys such as David Wilson and Coby Fleener could be had for less than $50.

- 2012 Prominence Alshon Jeffery autos

One of the more interesting types of autographs is a signed replica football field. So far, the only one of these cards to show up on eBay is from Joe Adams.

Autographs aren’t the only thing in 2012 Prominence. There are also prime jersey pieces as well. Here are some examples:

- 2012 Prominence Justin Blackmon prime patch
- 2012 Prominence Coby Fleener die-cut patch
- 2012 Prominence Andrew Luck/Coby Fleener dual jersey

Some neat cards – especially for player collectors – are the Legend cards. These feature players such as Dan Marino, Marcus Allen, Jim Brown and Reggie White.

On the first day of Prominence, what do you think of the new product from Panini?
