I wish Panini would make Score baseball. Score hockey recently has been one of the best bang-for-your-buck products, at 99 cents a pack, and I’d love to see a baseball version.

I bought a box last week and plan on making a set. Triple Play is a throwback to the junk wax days but that is not a bad thing. Too many products out there are hit driven that you forget that cards used to be about fun. The Hall of Fame inserts remind me of Diamond Kings/Gallery of Stars inserts from the 1990′s. The when I was a kid subset is almost too cute; however, the base set looks great.

When I look at this product and Topps Mini I feel good about the hobby. I want to see more mid-range and low end products that combine legends and current players without crazy short prints or gimmicks.
