Beckett Grading Services opens California office

 

Beckett Grading Services has opened an office in Southern California for collectors in and around the area to submit cards for grading in-person.

Located in Orange County, the office accepts submissions by appointment only, but those who use the office for submissions receive free shipping and insurance on all submissions, which are then sent to Dallas for grading. The new BGS office is located at 22840 Savi Ranch Parkway, Suite 200, in Yorba Linda, Calif.

This is the second regional BGS office to open. In September 2010, BGS opened an office for submissions in New York City. That one is located near Times Square, at 135 W. 50th Street on the 14th floor. I was always tempted to send a couple of cards I have to be graded but I never got feedback from foregin customers. I live in France and I’d like to know if others foreign members made so far and how it was.
I know that at the begining it was US only but it seems that it has been opened to others countries now.

Is submissions only for cards, or are the other services available?
Is pre-grading available?

I stopped by the new office a couple weeks ago and had the pleasure of meeting Justo. He does an outstanding job in Customer Service. BTW I was there to drop off a Repeat Customer Submission.

It sure would be nice if Beckett would finally get the registry going to support this step. At least an update would be nice.

I know Chris is not responsible for the registry, but the lack of one by whoever is in charge of the Sales Prevention Team at Beckett (or Eli Global) has driven my dollars to other grading services and to dismantle some of my registries in order to pursue grading elsewhere.

I still have enormous respect for the grading team and I’m still locked into a few registries with BVG, but why grade the cards I have in the queue if they can’t go into the registries I’ve built?

I’m not trying to be mean or nasty but considering what I’ve spent with Beckett and how much of a BVG advocate I’ve been, I have also been very patient, like many, and the least we deserve is an update, as in the Beckett.com Updates Forum section, which hasn’t been updated in about ten months.

Keep up the good work Chris, I know none of this is your fault.
