D'oh!! CORRECTION! Roseboro!!!! John Roseboro was the tough guy catcher that took a Louisville Slugger to the cranium courtesy of Juan Marichal ...... Not Lou Johnson. Got my Dodgers confused for a second. Hey, vote for me for that Koufax autograph card and I promise to shut up and not mis-remember baseball history ever again. Once again ........ Sorry!

For the Sandy Koufax auto I would be willing to get tackled by all of the linebackers in the NFL at the same time. Then I would get a lifelong job wrestling alligators, and would willing get bit. My favorite Dodger would be Jackie Robinson. He had so much adversity and some of his teammates didn't even like him. He had the dignity to settle disputes on the field with his playing, than by fighting. He also became the first Rookie of the Year and the first African-American in the Hall of Fame.

Well, I guess the contest is closed since it's Thursday, but just wanted to add.... My favorite Dodger is Lou Johnson, the catcher that took a bat to the head during a Dodgers/Giants game. One tough dude!
Kudos to all the Vin Scully fans ...the man's voice is velvet and his commentary is smooth. Been enjoying him ever since I got the MLB package for the season! An added bonus to getting all those Yankee Games. Long Live Vin Scully!!!
As far as the Koufax card goes, I sure as hell wouldn't demean myself over any autograph card of anyone. There are plenty of them around and the cost isn't THAT prohibitive, is it? Maybe if it were a Honus Wagner T206 card, perhaps I'd consider a little demeaning behavior :)
Hey .... I happen to have a Nick Swisher relic card and they say it's game used, but they don't specify what it's from, Jersey, Pants, etc.... From the look of the material I think it might be from an athletic supporter .... I'd be willing to loan it out to a certain Swisher fan for the measly sum of, oh let's say .... A Koufax Auto card :)

I really don't know what exactly I would do for a Koufax auto. I can wash your car for a year , cut the grass , take care of your kids while you are in vacation, just anything for his auto. Well I'm not a dodger's fan I grew up in New Jersey and always being a Phillies Fan. But during that time you know that the Phillies weren't a good team. So I always watch the World Series doesn't matter who's playing and I go for the under dog. During the series Kirk Gibson barely walk due to injuries suffered during the National League Championship Series, hit a pinch-hit, walk-off home run against Athletics closer Dennis Eckersley in Game 1 at the moment I knew they were going to win the series agaist American League best closer.

I think that the real question is what WOULDN'T I do for a Sandy Koufax auto? Anything short of causing harm to another person or an animal and I'm in (I really love animals)!
Need some stress relief? I'm your masseuse.
Need a table, footrest? I'm stable.
Need a shave (Chris)? I'm your barber.
I got what you need, and you, you got what I need.
But you say he's just a friend....sorry.

I grew up in NY with an Italian grandmother, so nothing existed besides the Yankees....and, somehow, Jackie Robinson. He'd have to be my favorite Dodger. Of course, for the obvious reason, breaking the color barrier (can you imagine), but also because he's the only non-yankee my grandmother would allow me to respect.

I have been collecting cards since I was 10 and I have been collecting autographs since I was 18. I am now 31. What would I do for a Sandy Koufax autograph? I would go to spring training and to Dodger games just to try to get him to sign for me. Luck has never been on my side as I've never ran into him at either. So I live an hour and a half or so from Dodger stadium. I would actually go to a Dodger vs. Mets game on June 29th to see if I could get some support so Beckett.com could pick my video that I made @ Dodger Stadium. While I did not run into Koufax I did run into some folks that may sound familiar, Billy Ashley, Kenny Lofton, and Fernando Valenzuela. Check out my 6 hour stadium visit. Its just a video under 3 mins. While I could get many employees on video, stadium policy I guess, I did get some former players on it. In case you can't here who my favorite Dodger is besides Koufax. Its Andre Ethier because he is very fan friendly and he decided to stay in L.A. and he is a former Oakland A. I know Mr. Olds is a big A's fan. Check out what I would do for a Koufax autograph.
