This set looks great. Just wish the paper stock was better. This is the last set I will put together for the year so I might go for everything.

It’s not super-thin stock. I was worried, but it looks pretty good.

I’m a little disappointed that the Lincecum they showed on the ad sheet was the ’54 style, yet the card in the set is in the 1980 style. Same goes with the Pujols and Hamilton card on the ad sheet, completely different cards in the set. Wonder if they’re SP’s or something.

YES!!! they do have them in retail stores. chris, you like the 80′s version, i like the 84 version. 1984 was the year one of my favorites mets player began his career. that player of course was dwight gooden, issued in the 1984 topps traded. i love these cards. the do take you back to the simpler days of collecting.
i agree joe. im not a big hamilton fan, but i was bummed when the card pulled was not the one in the ad sheet. the one on the ad sheet was way cooler.
chris, changing off the archives for a minute. will the prices for the 2012 bowman be listed in the new issue of beckett. and were there any short prints???? sorry to message on this busters about the bowmans.

Looks like another great set to build. How many cards are in the base set?
I got 3 retail boxes at Target and was able to pull a game used relic from each box.
I was hoping to get an autograph, but it seems they are tougher to pull than the
old Topps Fan Favorites.
Thank You Topps for bringing this set back.
