Most have pretty bland notes and could you imagine a current card with such wording? How about a bit on most interesting/weird card backs of all time. I'll start it off: 1970 Topps Pedro Borbon. Sadly, can't say I've ever seen The Natural, though I'm going to now. And I agree, every card has a story and I much prefer cards that have excerpts from the players rather than someone's recap of their previous season. That's a deal. Read the book, have the special edition DVD of the movie ... had seen the special feature on Waitkus, but never thought to look for a card of him, and would have never imagined his card would actually mention all that on the back. You're right - for fans of the book/movie (and what baseball fan isn't?) this card is a must-buy, especially for less than the price of one pack of most products these days.
