I traded a window tint job for 4000 baseball and football cards mainly 1990 to 1999 what the odds of them being worth anything there a lot of Jordan and Bryant in it and pipped and pining also who can I get to check them that would be honest

ebay should have some control over legit bidders. only those with significant amount of money on their account can bid.

it would be a very terrible feeling if ever the item won’t get paid. Or will the 2nd largest bidder get a chance to pay for it?

Seems to me someone has too much money and time on their hands if they are going to pay that much money for a pice of cardboard. Couldnt you buy and entire Kobe Bryant game used jersey, shoes, socks, sweat bands, shorts, warm up clothes, the protective mask and a used card that Kobe use to own for that much?

i probably have one of those in the attic. i collected kobe in the 90′s and bought a ton of his cards. i know i have some #’d inserts. time to go gold digging…Kardashian style

Technically, legally, it’s a sale. However, we all know that eBay has non-payers all the time and has its processes for when that happens.

Given the crazy result, I made sure to take that approach with the story.

It shows a disturbing state of our hobby when we honestly have to wonder if someone agreeing to buy a card will actually pay for it. What honor is there is outbidding someone and not fulfilling your end of the bargain? If the seller is not paid, what can he legally do about it?

In 1998 we had the Michael Jordan Emerald PMG #d/10 pulled in our store. Customer sold it at a card show because someone outbid my offer by $10. Where was my crystal ball to look into the future when I needed it?
