If you’re looking for NFL cards of the likely No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, you’re in luck.

Because Andrew Luck will be in Panini America packs sometime soon.

The Texas-based company announced Tuesday that it has signed the former Stanford star and likely No. 1 pick of the Indianapolis Colts to an autograph and card deal on Tuesday afternoon.

He’ll make his NFL card debut in 2012 Prestige, which arrives in June. (Click here for a checklist and get an OPG.)

“Andrew Luck is poised to become one of the next great NFL quarterbacks, and football fans and collectors are eagerly anticipating his first NFL and NFL PLAYERS licensed trading cards,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop. “This partnership will help us deliver what absolutely will be the most coveted collectibles of the 2012 NFL season. We’re happy to welcome Andrew to the Panini America family.”

As part of the deal, Luck also will be seen exclusively on Panini HRX video cards, the company’s product packaging and be a part of Panini’s social media initiatives, the company said.

“I’m truly impressed with the creativity and innovation that Panini America delivers to the sports collectibles industry,” Luck said. “To be part of such an exciting rookie class that will be featured in Panini trading card products in 2012 is something I’m looking forward to.”

on their 2011 Limited football product, there are 36 auto’s & 19 of them are exchange cards (and I know……its the players who “slow down” the process………BUT REALLY ?????? )

“It’s the player’s who slow down the process” Is the biggest joke in the world. There’s a reason Panini had more redemption than topps and Upper Deck combined in 2011; because they had the most product. You can’t expect the players to keep up with sheer amount of cardboard and stickers they had to sign in the last 12 months. Panini is putting out way too many releases…after next week they will have had 4 in the last month alone…that’s INSANE and it’s really killing their reputation. I know a ton of collectors that won’t buy panini because of the number of redemptions found in their products, they are shooting themselves in the foot.
