they’re card designs are better than ud and topps so i’m glad they’re going to continue making football cards. plus panini boxes have more value in them than any other companies’

Upper Deck did not cancel their deal with the NFL after 2009. Upper Deck was not offered a deal from the NFL for 2010 due to the way they screwed the NFL in the past. Upper Deck was offered a deal and accepted a deal with the NFL Players Association in 2010 and they reneged on the deal and never payed up the players thus the most recent lawsuit from the NFLPA against Upper Deck. Be rest assured that the NFL (Properties) will never deal with the scum at Upper Deck again.

Panini will do better in 2011 with their NFL lineup and Topps is already vastly improved from where they were a couple of years ago. At this point it was the right decision for the NFL and NFLPA to renew with their current partners and keep the UD scum out forever.

First, I thought it strange that only Topps had been putting previews for 2012– none yet from Panini. Also, if you think that 18 products is morethan they had in the past, they put out 18 last year also.
If Topps is done than the deal they signed in 2010 was only for 2 years– not likely.

Upper Deck will never get into football as long as they have the same CEO as he canceled their deal in 2010 after they had already agreed to a new one.
