Jeremy Lin’s Knicks debut will come in NBA Hoops
By Chris Olds | Beckett Basketball Editor
He’s the biggest name in the Big Apple right now, but Jeremy Lin doesn’t yet have a single basketball card showing him as a member of the New York Knicks.
Panini America is ready to change that.
The return of NBA Hoops is now at the forefront of the company’s basketball releases for 2011-12 and Lin will be one of the players found inside packs of the product when it arrives on Feb. 29. It will be the first product released by the company following the lockout as Preferred has been delayed into March.
He will have a standard card as well as an autographed card to be found in the low-end product’s 99-cent packs. Lin’s autographs will be found inside packs, too, and each hobby box of Hoops will include two chances at signed cards such as Lin’s, who has had quite a week for the Knicks.
