Peterp, well with 3% inflation, you don't win with money in a savings acct at 0%. that is why so many people are buying collectibles, which is worth something, not the Federal Reserve toilet paper

I didn't see Rory MCilroy in these pics for UPPER DECK to put out a viable product I hope we see the curren t golfers who like Tiger DESERVE TO BE INCLUDED.
I am glad to see Ud Putting this set out it's been a while and older boxes are too high and scarce for me to chase Tiger or Arnold and Jack's auto. Even redmptions Jordan's auto is Michael Jordan.
I will buy a box.

Why show on card sigs over a white box when you are going to use sticker autos? You know this
product will be 100% sticker auto and 30% redemptions. People are still waiting on cards from 2008, how is this going to be any different? I would love for UD to come out a month before this hits and say, here is who is going to be in the product and that there will be NO redemptions. I might buy some.

I think it is safe to say that the Jordan and Tiger will be very short printed.
Upperdeck tries to seed every product with at least one "super" card to help drive
sales. And, there is nothing new with non-golfers being in a golf set. Look at the
first BAP Hockey set with a ton of hockey players being shown golfing and other
off the ice activities. If they want to do a pro-am, or celebrity combo I say more power
to them as long as they are hard signed and at least some how have a legit tie in to the
sport.

I would actually have interest in getting my hands on the Payne Stewart card. He was one of my favorite golfers to watch, may he RIP.

Now, onto why I really wanted to comment...

Michael Jordan is arguably the most well known name in sports let alone basketball, but he is mostly known for basketball and basketball shoes. We know he plays golf (as was shown in Space Jam, lol), but he's not a golfer. It seems like Upper Deck tries to put Michael Jordan in every single product they can relate him too. If they started to do a casino set, are they going to have autographs of MJ in that set as well?

I'm not trying to down talk MJ, I'm simply saying that Upper Deck is killing the market with the flooding of autographs, especially Michael Jordan's. While I'm not a fan of his, because there are many people that are, I think it's right that his stuff (autograph and material alike) shouldn't be that easily available. Make it a chase. I'd have a harder time finding myself a certified autograph of Oliver Miller in a Pistons uniform than I would an MJ autograph. And seeing as how I don't think he's ever signed a card in his Pistons uniform (for a card company that is), Oliver's card might get more attention (ok, maybe more so if it was John Salley or something). Point is, please do not include MJ in every set you decide to create if he's thought about that sport or activity for 5 minutes. If he plays in Tour Golf tournaments, ok. And if you're going to include MJ, what about other celebrity golfers; Barkley, Bird (I don't think you have his rights though), or even BILL MURRAY? lol. Thanks for listening to my rant.
