My favorite upper deck 2010 product was Sweet Spot. I know alot of people did not like it, but I thought it was a great product. I really like the raised helmet autographs being the college helmets. I think Upper Deck was making the best with what they could.

Personally, I liked 2010 Upper Deck Baseball. Didn’t expect much from the product considering all the limitations that were put on them about what they can and can’t do and they basically told them, “we’re gonna do what we want.” i enjoyed busting it while it was available. I’m also liking the fact that Upper Deck is the only company that would give me hits of my football personal collection, James Laurinaitis. They made my end of 2010 when I heard that they were putting out JL autos.

I, as well, like the SP Authentic cards due to good rookie selections. I prefer the hockey cards which also has on-card sigs which I am glad UD is getting back to. The memorabilia cards are appealing as well, the patches look great.

SP Authentic is clearly the landslide favorite. In one box I was able to complete the entire base set! My daughter and I (she is 8) strive to put as many base sets together per year as we can. SP Authentic made it enjoyable while all of our cards were cleanly cut! Thanks Upperdeck!

Upper Deck SPA (NFL) has always been a favorite of mine year after year . the quality of the cards and also the On-card autos have always been the highlight .
Im going to miss the NFL licensed version but i am excited to finally get my hands on some of the New unlicensed version . the patch autos and NFL logos have always been impressive so im hoping when i get some of this years SPA i hope to find the same quality in the cards and previous years .

I like the SPX because of the huge patches. Since some of the teams have limited colors on their college jerseys I think the single color patch cards look great! I don’t mind the sticker auto’s, I think that helps the card stay in better condition since they don’t have to send the cards in the mail or have the player actually handling the card. I really think this helps the condition of the card with fewer hands getting on it.

If we’re talking football, 2010 SP Authentic Football is the best 2010 UD product. You got to love the on-card autograph. It’s sooo much nicer than sticker autographs. I wish all products were like that.

My favorite UD product of this year would most def be SP Authentic, based on your box break, since I don’t have any yet. My reasoning: There appears to be a great variety of players in the base set, as well as crisp photos – somthing that was lacking in SPX and Sweet Spot. I also love the very basic white backgrounds. (Needless to say, I am not a big fan of a lot of the Panini prodcuts – way too much going on, as if some abstarct paniter designed them). And, unlike most people who dislike UD because of their so-called shady business tactics, and even moreso now that they only release college products, I happen to love college based cards. I even collect odd-ball/pre-rookie cards of some of my fav players from their alma mater years, so what UD is doing this year has been great for me. In finale, I am very excited for this release and would love to get a box! PS If I get any UT and Cowboys players, I’ll send them back to you guys if you pick me! Thanks Much, Shaun (end novel here)

I was most impressed with Upper Deck 2010 SPX. I thought the patch/au’s were great due to the size of the patch. Obviously the inclusion of college unis and jerseys was great. I thought the dual jerseys were great. I really like the look of the base card. The shadowbox was a unique design. I saw someone open a box with a shadowbox Colt McCoy and an 8 autograph card. That auto was the best card I have seen in person. Had both Mannings and 6 other All-Pro NFL players. I am a HUGE Alabama fan so pulling the McClain patch/au was incredible. My wife just lost her job so I cannot afford a box of SPX as we tighten the belt around here so it would be AWESOME to win it and get to open some SP Authentic!!!! Chris

My favorite Upper Deck release of 2010 is Sweet Spot. I loved the fact that every pack was a hit which is really exciting going to a hobby shop and buying a pack and getting something. Sometimes a pack was all i could buy. The Helmet autos were really cool, reminded me of 07 sweet spot baseball which was another one of my favs.

i’d have to say my favorite product this year is a throw up between sweet spot and SPA, sweet spot screams college with vibriate team colors but spa is elegant and classy, the more and more i see of SPA im liking it more and more so id have to say SPA

I would have to say my favorite product of 2010 was Topps Chrome. Ive always been a fan of Topps Chrome but to me i feel get my moneys worth with all the refractors, always guaranteed autograph. This year was just a pretty set. Ive always been a fan of the action shots that topps chrome brings. I know must of the time they are the same images from the basic Topps sets, but something with the chrome makes the image pop that much more. I would love to see other companies use more on the field images. That to me is where Topps sets it self apart from others.

SP Authentic was my favorite product by any manufacturer this year. Bought two boxes and got six autographs out of each. I love the collegiate licensed products, especially the fact that it includes veteran NFL players in their college uniforms, including some guys that didn’t have very many (if any) cards in their college uniforms during their rookie years.

I love the 2010 SP Authentic. This has been the most fun prouduct to open for me this year out of any product released. I love the multiple hits per box & the on-card autographs & I’m a huge Notre Dame fan, so I love to see the autograph patches of Golden Tate & Jimmy Clausen in their ND gear. As a Packers fan as well, one of my favorite cards of the set is actually the base card of Ryan Grant since none of his rookie year cards featured him in his Irish gear. Great Job, Upper deck – if all your products are as good as this release here, you’ll have great success in the future!!

I like SP from UD too, my favorite pull from this years set was a Barry Sanders auto patch card!

I recently bought a box of the 2010 SP from my LCS. The product is amazing as you said, one of my favorites each year, but the hits were great. I pulled an on card Colt McCoy, Patch Roger Craig, and a beautiful Carlos Dunlap Auto #’ed to 140. To see these players in their college uniforms is not only beautiful, but brings a very bright and color look to the cards. I love how durable the cards are, and highly look forward to my next box. Keep up the great work UD, and ty beckett for the box break videos.

2010 SP Authentic Football is my favorite Upper Deck product that they have issued so far for 2010 products. I was bummed when they no longer were granted the NBA/NFL/MLB licenses to produce cards of players in their major league uniforms. I miss the on card autos and clean look that Upper Deck provided for so many years, so I was so excited when they came out with the college theme for SP Authentic. Great cards! A very nice complement to all the cards that are out that tout the major league theme.

My favorite BY FAR is the 2010-11 SPx Hockey – talk about Getting your Money’s Worth!! I know many people shy away from Hockey, but with the NFL striking this year, you can see some Amazing Plays, Scores, and Great good-old FIGHTS!! With SPx being only $100 per Box & Guaranteeing: 2 AUTO RCs (at least one is a Memorabilia AUTO RC) + another AUTO and few Memorabilia (almost ALL Game-Used except for RCs) = you could get the WORST Players and STILL be okay in terms of resale!! I bought 3 Boxes from Dave & Adam’s – the BEST deals on the WAX online and ALWAYS get Great Pulls as they grab each box from a different case!!!)!! So I pulled a TOTAL of 7 AUTO RCs (4 are Jersey AUTOs) + 2 FINITE RCs (Suppan #/99) + a RAY BORQUE “ShadowBox” + a SIDNEY CROSBY Dual-Jersey AUTO on-card THAT I CANNOT FIND and has NO Serial Numbering (looks like a B&W Painting with Red and Yellow accents = BEAUTIFUL)!!
**All I can say is that once I had gotten the 3 promised AUTOs per Box, I kinda “just” opened gem, and the GREAT HITS kept coming!! I got an Eberle AUTO JSY RC, a eff Skinner AUTO JSY RC, and 2 others + 3 AUTO RCs + the Crosby AUTO + many more GREAT RCs and SuperStar cards!! I have NEVER gotten TRUE VALUE like this from ANY Box of cards, so I am definitely sticking with UD thru their tough times and did like my SP Auth FB Boxes (McCoy Manufactured AUTO PATCH, SUH Auto PATCH 2 color RC, etc. – nothing spectacular and I personally also think SPx FB looks better with the larger Swatches and almost 1/2 price of SP Authentic!! **SORRY to write so much, just wanted to justify and maybe even encourage someone to spend $100 for an SPx Hockey box & see the Gems you pull!! THANKYOU BECKETT, AS ALWAYS!! A lifelong collector NOT dealer,

’10 SPA Football was actually the best. I love the college theme. Without the licenses in for other leagues I think the cards feel a little empty so having all of the college logos is great. I expecially like seeing the guys that are big names now that went to small schools. Great product and a really different look than other college stuff I’ve seen.

2010/11 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection Basketball Hobby Box is my favourite just because there are very few UD basketball products since Panini has exclusive rights. Panini is decent but it gets bland in my opinion with all their products starting to look similar with the exception of Adrenalyn.

I’m looking forward to 2010/11 Upper Deck SP Authentic Basketball Hobby Box. Looking at the specs on that product it looks nasty. I think it will be a great product to push UD back into basketball when Panini’s exclusives rights end. They put great cards in every case. So if you buy multiple boxes you should do very well. I will probably buy 3 of these boxes when they come out.

Thank you guys for posting these video’s, they really help me to get a feel of a product before i decide to make a purchase. Well my review will be on products before SP Authentic since i would be biased. I really enjoyed Upper Deck Sweet Spot because of the beautiful on card autographs, which you see less and less of now a days. The cards were nice and simple. The relic’s were oversized which was perfect, everything just came together and flowed great. Highend feel with the packaging and cards, with a mid-range cost= a definite buy.

UD World of Sports is my favorite 2010 UD product thus far. I love multi-sport sets that highlight some of the best from all sports. But seeing this SP break may sway me. The cards are great looking and the “on card” auto is a big plus. To be honest I miss UD in the hobby. I just hope they learn from their mistakes, get their rears in gear, and get back in the hobby. LEt’s face it, Panini isn’t doing a great job filling in the void! Great vid guys!

Hi guys great info as always to be honest I wasn’t really thinking about buying any Sp because of the Collegiate auto cards. However I’ve seen a lof of different inserts this year that is making me rethink that thought. Always loved this product and my best hit was 06 SP FB I hit a 2 color patch auto of Deangello Williams. Then I believe the patch auto’s were SP and not a guarentee per box.
I did like 2010 UD Sweet Spot the addition of the Veteran College Helmet auto’s was a great and the look was a welcomed change. Also is it me or has the base rc ‘PATCH-AUTO’S gotten smaller in SP AUTH?
So with the jumbo-patch auto’s and the overall base set I guess Sp will probably be my favorite with Sweet SPOT a close second. Thanks again keep up the good work

SP AUTHENTIC rocks because of the never bland designs and this years college theme. AND!!!! My first box I have ever purchased (due to money issues) a 2 year old boy and 5 month old girl and a wife who will never understand the excitement of pulling a sweet card out of a pack… I pulled a Sam Bradford SOTT (sticker auto) but still sweet. The best pull was……COLT MCCOY BCS CHAMPIONSHIP ON CARD AUTO PATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I freaked out and couldn’t even sleep that night. Really brought out the kid in me.

By far the best purchase of cards EVER!! Thanks Upper Deck for making my YEAR. Colt McCoy will be the next Drew Brees or better! Thanks guys love the videos, GO LONGHORNS, GO SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve always loved UD’s products, they always seem to have the greatest quality put into them. Sadly though, with the other companies gettibg dibs on the major sports, it is becoming tougher to collect some of UD’s great products. SPx and SP Authentic are both equally favorites of mine however I’d prefer if they were for baseball. I’d have to give the edge to SPx though as I’ve always gotten my greatest hits from that set. I’d love to get my hands on that SP Authentic box though and see what hits it contains. Who knows maybe it could have a Tebow RC/AU which would be so much sweeter cuz it would be i a UF uni!

I really like Upper Deck SP authentic. The design looks great without any flash to them like refractors. I put a base set together easily and love a little blast from the past with the college uniforms. Sometimes a player is in the league so long you forget how they looked in their college uniforms or even where they played. Great product Upper Deck..

By far it is SP Authentic – think of it as the Big Leagues compared to the AA version of SAGE. Dallas Cowboys vs Tampa Bay Storm…no contest. Simple card, crisp photo, no confusing triple atomic X-fractors and an impressive autograph checklist. I pulled the Triple Script Gore/Wayne/Shockey #6/10 and where else could you get these 3 in their Miami uniforms! Let’s not forget reasonably priced and well within the allowances of the younger collectors.

My favorite product from Upper Deck would be Champs Hockey, Id like to comment more about how great the piece of fossil cards are but Ive been waiting a year now and havent gotten it back. I used to spend over 100k a year on boxes because Im addicted to pack pulling, unfortunately I wont be buying anymore Upper Deck until they fulfill my redemptions so I know Topps and Panini stock will be going up. When Upper Deck believed in customer service and actually cared about their customers then Exquisite and The Cup could not be topped! Oh yea Im waiting on a Stamkos/Tavares Dual Auto Patch #ed to 35 from them as well. Well maybe if I win this box it might intrigue me to purchase more Upper Deck (hint hint) lol

My favorite upper deck product from 2010 was Sweet Spot. I loved the helmet autographs with the multiple variations. I also enjoyed seeing the players depicted in their college uniforms. It was cool seeing even the smaller colleges represented on the cards. The Randy Moss and Chad Pennington cards took me back to when I was a student at Marshall in the late 1990s. Those were the days!!

SP Authentic is the best UD product of 2010. There is a good chance of getting a “hot box” with 6 autograph cards in it! And we’re not talking about on one box per case “hot box”. Having UD restricted to college uniforms does not hurt this product at all. It’s actually a nice change of pace. The base cards are simple, but have sharp images and design. The best part of this product is on card autographs. Makes the purchase worth the money plus it has a decent mix of veteran autos for inserts like Sign of the Times.

I really enjoyed SP Authentic this year! I pulled 3 autos (Stafon Johnson, Charles Scott, and a TEXAS LONGHORN Jordan Shipley Chirography ; ) and my big hit was a C.J. Spiller auto jersy!!! It had very exciting hits and I also got a nice handful of #’d to 999 rookies! Aside from the amazing pulls the base cards themselfs are beautiful! Although the base set is small i’d still buy another box just for the pulls, they are a great investment! My 4 pulls were Beckett valued at 145.00 so definatly got my money worth! Thanks guys for sharing your pulls with everyone i love watching pulls!!!

The SP Authentic looks good. I didn’t get much upper deck from 2010, due to money issues and not much affordable product. I would have to say that my favorite 2010 Upper deck product was the baseball series one. I remember when it came out and rumors were flying about it getting pulled due tio the lawsuits and how it sold off the shelves. I remember how lucky I felt to secure a box! The pulls were nice and the autos looked good and surprisingly sold well. I hated to upper deck lose their NFL and MLB licenses. It makes one wonder what could have been! Now, the product is on special value at Target. Half off a blaster box! Now, I might be able to complete my set!

I am still a huge fan of Upperdeck products. I have had some amazing pulls from their products. This years SPA is really nice. I am really looking forward to the Basketball though. The box breaks you guys do are always fun for me because sometimes I find out alot of info about the product and what to expect. Would be very cool to win that box!! Maybe I could pull the Bradford and get put in your magazine!
Thanks again

The 2010 SP Authentic football is the best product Upper Deck product. The college pics look great as I’ve never been a huge fan of many of those types, but the photography and seeing players that haven’t appeared in college jerseys is like a blast from the past for followers of those players. The Romo and Miles Austin were very cool. Base cards are very neat and on card signing is a bonus as well as keeping the traditional patch auto. Over all I like this set from previous years that have been out.

I personally am a big college football or any college sport but this year i really like the Upper Deck Sweet Spot cards. I love to collect cards and watching college football, and finally Upper deck made college cards that are worth collecting. The sweet spot cards images are so crystal clear that you would think your actually watching the game live. I love this product and hopefully they will not stop this production of college football cards

I would have to say SP Authentic is usually my fav for the year. I like the fact that each autograph is on the card and the quality of the cards you receive are way above the competitors in this price range. Lastly, the book values of good hits makes the price of a box better than most. Nothing like buying a box of cards for over $100 and you only get a card that books at $30. Can anyone say depression??? I mean depressing…

My favorite Upper Deck product from last year was definitely the 2010 Ultimate Collection basketball set. Since they lost the NBA license, I didn’t think they’d really be able to out a great set of cards, but they proved me wrong. Seeing the players in their college gear is a total thrill that I wasn’t expecting, and the graphic design is outstanding.

I couldn’t afford to actually collect the set, but I got 2 boxes for christmas from my parents, and the David Robinson/Hakeem Olajuwon dual auto I pulled on christmas morning will be my best box busting memory for a long time to come.

I really enjoyed the SPX set from this year. Being a life-long Clemson fan and seeing the hype surrounding CJ Spiller as he entered the draft, I could not help but be excited to see autos and memorabilia of his in the set. Especially important to me were the alternate Clemson purple jersey swatches and patches. I remember attending the first game that Clemson wore the purple jerseys against NC State when I was 9 years old (31 now). So when I saw the jumbo number patch cards, I had to pick one up. Mine is numbered 3/5 and it is a piece of the “8” from Spiller’s number on the purple jersey. It takes me back to my childhood and reaffirms my passion for my Clemson Tigers. It will also be a super special keep sake to pass on to my boy one day. THANKS UPPER DECK! I am loving the college themed sets!!!! BTW, I did pick up Spiller’s SPX rookie jersey auto with another nice purple jersey swatch. Can’t wait to get his SP Authentic patch auto. Maybe I can win this contest and pull it! Fingers crossed… thanks for the read!

This is going to be a tough one, but I really like how epic 2010 Upper Deck SPX looked I was looking a cheap box one day and I decided to try SPX. I pulled a Sam Bradford Auto 5/10 and then I got hooked. So I the next I bought a case of it and got two Tim Tebow autos both number from the case. That is my favorite product of the year as well.

I really like 2010 Upper Deck spx this year, because it a cheap product and easy to complete. right now I am 1/4 of the rigular auto set and still need the Tebow. I hops to get more when my card shop gets some in.

I was in the card shop one day, and I wanted to try something new this year. So the maneger says “I should start a football collection but go for a cheap product.” so I tried Spx 2010 and boom, I got hooked, because of the epic desgn. So ya that is all I have to tell about it.

I have definitely become a fan of the 2010 SP Authentic for bringing the college feel back and reminding me how each player represented their school. On card autographs are definitely a big plus too and you get your money’s worth when pulling notable autograph cards as well.

I would have to say my favorite 2010 Upper Deck product would have to be 2010 Sweet Spot. I like the different variations of autographs to pull and the concept of them being from their college uniforms. A different concept that is pretty cool. Keep the products coming.

I would have to say my favorite 2010 Upper Deck product would have to be 2010 SP Authentic Hockey. Obviously the best part is that they are being shown in NHL uniforms and autographs are on the card and not some sticker. The photography is very impressive and selection of the players picked in the set are very nice. The boxes that I opened did not have any problems and all cards that were promised were there, all in all a very good and nice looking product.

My favorite UD product of 2010 has to be SP.

When I deceided I was going to start collecting Tebow cards, the first thought that went through my mind, was the SP was going to be the MUST HAVE RC.

When I think of Rookie cards SP is the first product that pops in my mind. I got one off ebay (which was bent in half durring shipping so only 298 good ones left) and it is my favorite RC yet; for image, on card autogragh, and a nice jersey swatch.

SPX was also nice with the large jersey swatch size, but sticker-drop auto puts it in second (great shadow box cards though).

I would love to get a chance to pull a tebow to replace the bent one :)

I have always loved SP Authentic, but since I haven’t seen a whole lot of it yet, I would have to say my favorite so far this year is SPx. The overall design was very cool, and of course, as a fellow Longhorn collector, it was nice to get both rookies and current stars in their college unis. Add to that the jumbo swatch/auto rookies and it is a complete winner. The different combo auto and combo patch cards were also really sweet. Just wish I had been fortunate enough to pull one!

Love the SP card design and UD in general, they have great eye appeal for collectors. My son likes to collect auto, jersey and serial #ed cards the fact that these can have all three on the same card has him pretty hyped. My favorite Upper Deck product this year has to be SP Authentic Football, I have been able to get 3 or 4 six Autograph boxes, including a Sam Bradford Gold Holofoil Autograph rookie. The SPX Football was awesome too, because it only took one box. I opened a box and bam a Super Scripts Eight Autograph card of all current Dallas Cowboys.

How come these Box Busters contests are not tagged as contests? Without watching the videos, you wouldn’t know that there’s a contest (otherwise I would have entered). The only one that’s tagged is the 2011 Press Pass video. There are several others with closed contests that were never tagged.

From mod: Looks like you’ll have to watch the videos …
