Pricing Debut: 2010 Contenders Football
By Dan Hitt | Sports Data Publishing Manager
First Beckett pricing for the highly anticipated 2010 Playoff Contenders football product made its debut this morning on Beckett.com.
The product is highlighted by the base autographed Rookie Cards – some of the most collected singles every year. We made every effort to identify the short-printed signed RCs and a number of those are attracting tremendous attention on the secondary market. Several, who are otherwise lesser known players, have been selling well above $50 and a handful have been trading at levels greater than $100.
We’ve identified no significant differences in collector interest between the two photo variations that exist for each of the final 35 RCs which were all signed on-card although the Dez Bryant white jersey variation seems to be attracting a slight premium over the blue jersey version. Keep in mind that some of the pricing for the autographed Rookie Cards could change significantly over the coming weeks or months as the full run of retail product gets distributed and broken. Panini is also set to release a confirmed final list of the short prints very soon – an act that could also dramatically change market conditions.
For now, Beckett Football Online Price Guide subscribers can enjoy an accurate valuation of current market conditions for 2010 Playoff Contenders.
