The lively and entertaining Beckett Baseball crew of Chris Olds & Brian Fleischer have ripped the first boxes of 2010 Topps Chrome baseball cards for an upcoming edition of Box Busters.

While the video is in the microwave (coming up later this evening), we figured you’d want some card images to chew on. Here are some cards that stood out in our pair of boxes.

I don’t think I understand Topps Chrome. Is it playing on our fascination for shiny things? I have several questions:

1. Are the photos different from the standard Topps release (S1/2)?
2. How many of the Chicle/206 cards are chrome inserts?
3. Are there Heritage, etc. as well? Can you make complete sets of these?
