To collectors of USA Baseball cards this is nothing new, but Topps touted its crop of top 2011 draft picks that can already be found in its upcoming 2010 Bowman sets because of its deal as the exclusive manufacturer of USA cards.
Oh, and it also offered on Friday a sneak peek at the first USA Baseball cards for this year’s teams, which will be all over upcoming sets.
Here’s the info, straight from Topps:
Both ESPN and MLB.com recently listed their top picks for the first round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft and believe it or not, you can find cards of these players this year… in 2010 Bowman/Topps Products. Collectors can find the top draft picks (as members of the 2010 USA Baseball National Teams) in 2010 Topps Chrome, 2010 Bowman Chrome, 2010 Bowman Platinum and 2010 Bowman Sterling. In addition, 2010 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects will include players from the 16 & Under team (stars of future drafts).
Here’s a list of potential top picks for the 2011 Draft as listed by ESPN and MLB.com

not really feelin the design there
Who is designing this stuff for Topps? This isn’t 1988… surely they can do better than that.
It’s exciting to see the current team released so soon after the summer season. Topps deserves a kudos for that. But there are a couple of problems. #1 being the design and #2 being the scarcity (these are going to be seeded 1 per CASE). Still excited to get my hands on them though ;)
