I have read about mr. Robert J. Power in the August edition magazine of Beckett sports. Me and my son Lukas have been interested in the Stephen Strasburg card for a long time, and are big fans of Strasburg. We were wondering when or if Mr. Power is going to sell the card. Both me and my son are big baseball fans and are interested in making a purchase! (or trade involving the Clemente rookie card)

My sons always enjoyed the hunt for particular baseball cards when they were growing up. We had to go to shows and certain stores. It was always good, clean, wholesome fun and a way for them to invest their hard-earned money. I was sad to see the market decline in the last 20 years because of baseball scandals and because of the internet. Mr. Power appears to be an articulate, educated man and I say “Congratulations”. He did make baseball cards a topic of conversation again!

People collect for a variety of reasons, and if this purchase makes him happy, then good for him! If he resells if for a profit…. then good for him again. There is no guarantee that Strasburg will hold his value, I thought Ryan Anderson was going to be a stud about 10 years ago, and his career was cut short with arm injuries. Anything can happen, and who knows what the future holds.

I had heard that Strasburg CPA purchased the card to stay anonymous. I have a bet there is more to this story. This card will be resold for over $20,000 I guarantee it. This guy is a genius!
