14 2016 Topps Stadium Club Cards Worthy of a Stare Down
By Ryan Cracknell | Hobby Editor
Some of us like our baseball cards loaded with layers of premium things like autographs, jumbo patches and low print runs. Some of us prefer a simpler path where base cards shine. 2016 Topps Stadium Club Baseball is definitely one of the latter.
As has been the case with the brand since its earliest days, photography is a focal point. A lot of effort goes into the image selection, trying to make them unique from other releases. Generic poses are kept to a minimum while emotion and drama are brought to the forefront.
Based on some of the first cards that are surfacing for the set, take a look at some of the early highlights. No explanations or commentary, just baseball cards with cool photos.
And in case you’re having a little déja vu with that Robin Yount motocross card, you’re not losing your mind. His 1992 Pinnacle Sidelines card also featured him on his bike. It’s a different photo but the same idea.

Nice looking cards.
The player name on 2016 Stadium Club reminds me of the player names on 1997 Fleer Baseball.
Also, the Koufax photo has been used by Steiner and UDA in the past. It would have looked a lot better on the card if the entire scoreboard background was included instead of being cropped.
