Who is going to have a better season Marion Barber or Michael Turner?
Thoughts?
I like Marion Barber, but Dallas drafted Felix as insurance in case MB gets injuried or can't carry the full duties of a full-time RB. Marion has been a monster in terms of TDs last 2 seasons. Michael Turner, this being his first season as a full-time RB, but he has Jerious Norwood to backup. Which RB will be the real deal for the long-term??? |

I'd go Barber. He has shown he can stay healthy and has a better surrounding cast. Even sharing carries he'll put up good numbers.

Who is going to have a better season Marion Barber or Michael Turner?
i go with Barber...SB contender...he'll get the goal line carries..plus more.
even though i like Turner...was he a product of the SD system?..i mean..not to hard to go in once in a while after LT..to get a few yards. going to atlanta should be interesting for him....plus no passing game for the falcons. He might have a long year. |

Who is going to have a better season Marion Barber or Michael Turner?
Barber plays for a Super Bowl contender, and Turner plays for... the Falcons. Barber's going to have a much easier time this year.

Who is going to have a better season Marion Barber or Michael Turner?
Barber simply because he's on the better team. Dallas will be able to mix up the pass and the run with all of the good players they have. Atlanta might be running the ball a lot, with a rookie QB or a not so good QB, which other teams will be well aware of.

Who is going to have a better season Marion Barber or Michael Turner?
who is going to have a better season???why is this question even being asked.
Barber plays on a contender, is a no BS downhill runner that plays behind a excellent line. There was a reason Jones was not resigned....they didn't need him with Barber proving that he can carry the load. Turner is playing his first season on a team that is rebuilding(and has alot to do yet) granted he will see alot of carries to aid Ryan's growth in the league but seriously not even a fair comparision to Barber. |

I bet Turner gets more carries. Will he get more goal line carries? I can't imagine so. This could very well be a lot closer than people think.
I can honestly say I'd rather own Turner in a fantasy football league. You can get Turner in the 3-5 rounds and Barber is going in the first 9/10. Turner has much better value and their point totals might be closer than people think by the end of the year. |

On paper, everything favors M Barber, but as stated what about the long term, not the short term? I agree, M Turner might surprise some people and once Atl gets more help and provided M Ryan is the real deal. Whether MT is going to be a Lamont Jordan or not, Atl is banking he isn't. I remember this was the case with Lamont, in NY Jets, prior to being signed by Oakland. He looked impressive with the little amt of carries - and to think what he would have with alot of carries. L Jordan isn't bad when healthy. I really think it is push, but the way Marion runs, his body will take a toll for the long term.
